Abstract
With the ever-increasing expansion of modern technologies and the smartization approach in organizations, ensuring safety in Internet of Things (IoT)-based office environments has become one of the fundamental challenges. The main objective of this research is the structural analysis of the safety level in smart office environments in Tabriz, aiming to identify the interrelationships and prioritize the influencing factors. This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical in nature. The statistical population consisted of 25 experts and specialists in the fields of electrical and computer engineering, risk management, occupational health and safety, and futures studies, who were selected through purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out in two stages; first, 16 components were extracted through literature review, and then, using structural analysis technique and MICMAC software, the influence and dependence relationships among the components were measured based on expert opinions. The results of the cross-impact matrix revealed that the component "reduction of physical and life-threatening incidents" with the highest influence score (817) and "access control and physical security" ranked next. Furthermore, the component "smart technological infrastructure" was identified as having the highest dependency score. Overall, safety performance indicators and management support play a key role in steering the system. Based on the results, to enhance safety in smart offices, it is necessary for managers and policymakers to focus on driving and strategic factors, particularly strengthening technical infrastructure and organizational support, to pave the way for reducing incidents and improving safety performance.
