Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate and provide solutions for promoting the health, safety and environment (HSE) culture in industrial projects in the Polyethylene Petrochemical Company in the southern region of Iran. HSE culture, as a set of shared values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that affect the way employees think and act in relation to HSE issues, plays a very important role in risk management and safety promotion in organizations. This study, using a descriptive-analytical method and collecting data through a standard questionnaire from 220 employees of the petrochemical company, examined various dimensions of HSE culture including awareness, attitude, behavior, management and communication. The results showed that the HSE culture in the studied company is at an average level and there are weaknesses in the areas of management support, safe behavior and communication. To improve this situation, it is suggested that the company's top management actively supports HSE; conducts regular training courses
