Abstract

Electricity and the vital infrastructures related to it have always been considered as one of the main human needs. Today, the supply and distribution of electricity is one of the most basic duties of governments, and increasing the safety level of related infrastructures is of particular importance. Currently occurrence of natural threats such as climate change and decrease in rainfall, the supply of electricity from hydropower plants has decreased in the country and the enemy can exploit these threats. According to all kinds of risk assessment methods are investigated and by using the risk assessment method (FEMA) as an efficient method, firstly, the assets of the border province's electricity sector are identified and screened. Then, based on the basic threats, vulnerabilities are identified and evaluated, and the risk of each asset is calculated. At the end, solutions to reduce the risk in the electrical infrastructure of Marzi province are provided.
