Abstract
Background and Objective: The SCAT method was established by the International Institute for Loss Reduction. Materials and Methods: In this method, 17 indices were used in the form of a questionnaire to assess safety culture at Neyriz steel plant. The questionnaire was based on Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.96 which had good reliability and relatively good validity. Indicators with positive points include participation with average of both table 7.55. Results: The results of the questionnaires for assessing safety status in the indicators, management commitment, communication, safety priority, safety rules and regulations were compared to the score defined in the acceptable index (score 6). Conclusion: Overall, the safety culture at the Neyriz Steel Plant was rated as favorable, but further improvement is expected through the pursuit of new and specialized safety programs.. 28% of incidents related to unsafe behaviors are recorded, which accounts for about 12% of unsafe behaviors and seen.
