Abstract
The growth of the health tourism industry and the intensification of competition to attract international patients have led to attention to the quality of medical services and compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) principles. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of HSE factors on the satisfaction of health tourists at Moheb Kowsar Hospital in Tehran. This applied research is conducted with a descriptive-analytical method and a survey type. The statistical population of the study consisted of international patients of the hospital in the fall of 2025, who were selected using the available sampling method. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire and a standard questionnaire on health tourist satisfaction. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software. The results of the study showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between HSE factors and health tourist satisfaction. Among the components, the environmental hygiene and infection control dimension had the greatest impact on health tourist satisfaction. The regression results showed that these factors are able to explain a significant part of the changes in satisfaction. Therefore, improving HSE standards can play an effective role in strengthening the competitive position in the health tourism industry.
